What A Relief: Schrodinger's Cat Was Imaginary!

Most people have heard of Schrodinger's Cat, the experiment used to illustrate the bizarreness of quantum mechanics and the mathematics necessary to describe quantum states.

In the experiment,  the life or death of a cat placed  in a sealed box,  was dependent on the state of a subatomic particle.  According to Schrödinger, one interpretation implies that the cat remains both alive and dead (to the universe outside the box) until the box is opened.

Thankfully, this was just a THOUGHT experiment (he couldn't think of anything better than the idea of killing a cat??) it never actually happened.
