SHE'S BACK!!!!!!

THANK YOU to everybody who left such positive, hopeful comments!  Bella waltzed in this morning, a little thinner, but absolutely fine!  She was quite lovable and happy to see me. We had a talk. For those of you who don't have a serious love connection with your pets, just ignore this next part.  You may think I'm looney :-)
Apparently Bella thinks its very unfair of me to expect her to stay in at night, especially when it's about 85 degrees inside the house. And I should not use sneaky tricks to get her in either. I guess I'm supposed to rest assured that she is perfectly safe in the wilds of Ellington in the wee hours of the night, even considering that coyotes live in the apple orchard down the street.
She has asserted her freedom by taking a vacation down by the lake for the last week. She also decided to make it clear that the house is too warm by napping in the bathtub...the coolest place in the house.
Tired Bella after a week long vacation, then lots of loving and treats.
At least she's home!!!

  1. Excuse me for shouting, but I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! Since I am an indoor-only kitty and only a little bit curious about the outdoors, I don't understand how Bella can just take off like that. But I am so glad she is back now! I think all our purrs helped her realize how much you missed her.

  2. Is this the best birthday present ever!!!!! Oh we are jumping for joy over here. Happy happy birthday Rebecca, and Bella - methinks you may have to stick around for awhile now. Yippeeeeeeeeee!

  3. Glad she came back! I know how scary it can be when they run off!

  4. Never mind the cat....

    You're back!!!! :D

I am glad that your cat is back, though. Give her an extra loving hug for all of us who are happy to see the both of you reunited!

  5. we're glad you're back home safe and sound Bella. That's pretty cleaver to seek out the bathtub for a cool nap. It's HOT around here too so we sympathize.

  6. So glad to hear that! And the bathtub is a perfect place to sleep.

  7. My cat is the same nowadays refuse to stay in she sleeps in the garden and only comes in for her food/drink :) Was worried at first but now after two weeks am used to it. Even now she is in the garden - bless her little heart :) Maybe should get air conditioner in the house :P nahhhhh
