Goodbye Skittles, We Love You

Beautiful, fluffy Skittles.
The dogs, one Rottweiler and two Pugs, are rambunctious, they chased the cats occasionally, growled and were a bit unpredictable, but no one ever imagined they would kill a cat, much less their own cat who lived with them.  How could this happen?
My beautiful daughter, Nicole came home from a wonderful evening out last night  to find that the dogs had attacked her beloved cat. We pray that he died instantly and did not suffer, it's too difficult to imagine otherwise.
Would they attack my baby granddaughter? They are not going to take that chance. Three dogs need new homes.  So she and her husband are not only losing a cat, but three dogs too.

  1. That is such a sad story and I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of such a dear friend. I think sometimes our dogs don't realize just how rough they are, even if they're just playing around.

  4. Wow, that is so sad. You just have to believe it wasn't on purpose. It only takes one shake in the mouth to kill a cat or small dog. Your poor daughter. She must be just a wreck. Tell her our thoughts and prayers are with her and we understand why she has to get rid of the dogs if there is a child involved.

  5. How awful! I am so sorry to hear this. The problem with multiple dogs is sometimes they take on a pack mentality, and that is when things get ugly. The chasing and growling were clues that things weren't right - dogs should never be allowed to chase other pets, especially two or more dogs. It can become a dangerous situation. It's something a lot of humans are not aware of, and I feel so badly that things ended like this for Skittles, the dogs and your daughter's family.
